10 Reasons You Need to Go Back to School

If you're stuck in a dead end job, or think that you could do more with your life, then perhaps you're considering improving your education, and going back to school.

Here's why you should go to college.

1. With more qualifications you're more likely to be able to get a better job. Perhaps you didn't really work hard at school, and want to make up for it now.

2. If you're already employed, then having more qualifications, or job related training could give better prospects in your existing job, or when new positions become available in your company.

3. You might want to prove to yourself that you're capable of studying for a degree, or that you can juggle your career and still do a part time course, to help you achieve bigger and better things.

4. Perhaps you want a career change. Maybe you've tried one career path, and now want to do something different. Perhaps you want to study to be a nurse or a doctor, or become an accountant or a teacher.

5. If you're returning to work after bringing up your children, then you might find that your existing skills are out of date, and so you want to get up to speed with the changes in your industry and areas of expertise.

6. You might just want to improve your skills and knowledge. Perhaps you want to be able to carry out research, or be able to write better reports, or make learn how to make the use of modern technology in your company.

7. If you want to specialise in something in particular, then you might need to have additional qualifications. You might have finished your solicitor training, and now you want to become a divorce solicitor, or want to become a consultant rather than a GP.

8. It might be that you want to start your own business, and so will need to have all the necessary skills in terms of accounting, selling, and the legal implications of running your own company.

9. Technology is always changing, and so you might benefit from a computing course to help you get to grips with using your laptop, or selling online.

10. Even though you might have been using computers for years, you might not have had any formal training. Why not use your experience to do a computer course and get proper qualifications that can demonstrate your ability?
